Welcome to the Indiana Military Museum, dedicated to fostering the memory, understanding, and appreciation of U.S. military history. This is accomplished by maintaining, preserving, and displaying artifacts which represent the strength and freedom of our American heritage.

Located in historic Vincennes, the Indiana Military Museum is home to one of the best, most comprehensive collections of military memorabilia in the country. In addition to the museum’s own artifacts, including military vehicles, aircraft, uniforms, insignia, and equipment from the American Revolution to present day, it also hosts traveling exhibits from the Smithsonian Institution and others. To read more about the Indiana Military Museum’s collection here.

I've been in a lot of military museums, and this one is really terrific. There were a variety of planes, different vehicles, and cannons to see. Plus, the WWI trench is neat to walk through. Inside, the different displays are informative and easy to follow.

Just a quick note to express my wonder and awe for the displays and history I saw and experienced at the Indiana Military Museum in Vincennes. The museum is a must see for everyone. Thanks to all the volunteers who worked to make it an educational and enjoyable visit for an old soldier.
